Whether you have injured yourself playing a sport, doing everyday activities, or at work we are able to help. It may be a new injury or an old injury that has recently caused you increased discomfort or pain. Our physiotherapists are able to assist in returning you back to your previous capabilities.
If you have sustained a significant injury, our Physiotherapists will assess the extent of the injury and if necessary, refer you onto a specialist.

Physiotherapists are experts in the structure of the human body and its movement capabilities. They work with clients of all ages to treat a broad range of health conditions.
At Women's Health Hub, our focus is on providing assessment, diagnosis for a diverse range of musculoskeletal & sporting conditions, women's health conditions and vestibular physiotherapy.
Physiotherapists are often sought for assessment, advice and instruction on improvement of their posture, injury, muscle imbalances and strengthening. Our Physiotherapy sessions incorporate excellent hands on technique and exercise prescription to ensure optimal movement to suit your body’s requirements.

Our highly trained physiotherapists ensure all issues contributing to your problem are detected, not just your presenting symptoms. Looking at the whole body, to determine why the injury occurred, minimise the risk of reinjury and optimise your treatment outcomes.

We believe knowledge is power and a key component of our sessions include client education. This ensures you can make an informed decision on the best treatment for your body. In combination, we set realistic goals with you to target our treatment sessions to helping you achieve them.

Manual Therapy - Hills District and Hawkesbury
What is Manual Therapy?
Manual therapy refers to hands-on techniques used by our physiotherapists to assess and treat joints, muscles and soft tissues.
At Women’s Health Hub, we use manual therapy to support how your body moves and feels—whether that’s improving joint mobility, reducing muscle tension, or helping you return to more comfortable, functional movement and activities such as your hobbies, sports or gym.
How Manual Therapy Works
Manual therapy works through various techniques designed to address specific issues:

-
Joint Mobilisation
-
Targeted, controlled movements applied to a joint to improve range of motion and reduce stiffness.
-
-
Manipulation, where clinically appropriate
-
A more specific, quick movement used to restore joint function and assist in relieving pain.
-
-
Myofascial release and soft tissue massage therapy
-
Hands-on techniques that apply sustained pressure to muscles and fascia to reduce deep tension, improve tissue mobility, and address longer-standing movement restrictions.
-
-
Dry-needling
-
As an adjunct to myofascial and massage therapy, dry needling can be highly effective for targeted trigger point release. It can help reach specific muscles, including deeper muscles that may be difficult to access through hands-on treatment alone, supporting pain reduction, improved muscle activation, and better overall movement.
-
Manual therapy is often used alongside exercise-based rehabilitation to support longer-term outcomes.
Who can benefit from Manual Therapy?
Manual therapy is suitable for individuals of all ages and activity levels.
You might benefit from it if you’re:
-
recovering from an injury
-
experiencing ongoing stiffness or pain
-
returning to movement or exercise
-
managing a chronic condition such as osteoarthritis
-
Noticing subtle differences and changes in your body, such as hip range of motion when squatting or standing from a chair.
Your physiotherapist will consider your individual needs following a thorough assessment and discuss how different manual therapy techniques may be used as part of your overall care, supporting you to make informed decisions about your body and treatment.
